You're trapped in a mysterious cave and the portal you took to get here no longer works! Restore the portal by finding at least one of the red, blue, or green gems to power it up. Walk through the cave with the arrow keys. Stand under a vine and press UP to climb up it. Run into a bell to set a checkpoint there! While you're at it, you'll notice there are 18 coins hidden throughout the cave. Try to collect as many as you can! Don't fall into the spikes along the way.

In this cave, you can walk, but you can't jump! Fortunately, after a while you will stumble upon a magic item: the hover shoes! Press and hold X while you are in the air to hover. However, the boots only have a limited amount of power indicated by the bar above when you press X. If you run out of power, you'll fall out of the sky! The hover bar only drops while you are moving, so you can hover in place while planning where to go next.
