I'm 13 years old and started game development at age 9 when I joined a programming club.
Because the contest theme was “Use Your Head”, I made the main character a head and began to develop the basic mechanics of movement. I used Construct 3 to program the game, and it took about 40 hours. Games that have inspired my programming are Geometry Dash and Super Mario Brothers. While I was developing Spirit Soldier, I learned many new things about programming. Adding music to the game was something new for me, along with transitioning between multiple levels. This has been a great experience for me, and I hope you enjoy playing Spirit Soldier.
Use the arrow keys or WASD to move and jump. Press R to return to your last save point, this will also leave a spirit where you were standing.
