Use WASD or the Arrow Keys to move. When you run into spikes, you'll leave your previous hardware behind and respawn as a new system. While standing next to discarded hardware, hold Shift or Space to pick it up. Move and jump while holding it and place it in a spot that will help you complete the level. You can even stack and jump on top of them to reach higher places.
