Most of these stages will require players to use several different actions. There are three main skills that are featured in Vex 3 – running, jumping, and swimming.

Running

Use the arrow keys to run around the map in this stickman game. If there are any walls that you seem too tall to pass by, and can't be jumped over, press the down arrow in order to slide under the obstacle and continue on. Running is the most common type of movement that players will use, so get used to it.

Jumping

There are tall obstacles everywhere in Vex 3. To hop over these, just press the up arrow to launch off the ground. Players can jump from wall to wall in order to reach places that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to. 

Swimming

Most of the levels require at least a little bit of swimming in order to complete the stage. To swim, point your character toward the direction that you want them to go. There are checkpoints along your journey in Vex 3. Getting these checkpoints is a huge deal, they will save your progress as you make your way through the levels. This means that even if you get chopped to bits or fall off the map, you will respawn at the checkpoint flag instead of going all the way back to the beginning. This ends up saving a lot of time.

Get comfortable with wall jumping

One of the most common trials that players will run into is wall jumping. This is the act of bouncing from one wall to another in order to climb your way up the wall. You will see this in Vex 3 all the time, from the very first levels to the very end. Make sure to get very comfortable with this technique.

Quick tip: If you are uncomfortable with wall jumps, find a safe spot away from hazards. Try scaling up the wall several times until you feel completely confident in your abilities.
